UNKNOWN VOTERS REGISTERED AT KG PANDAN.

A jump over 300 voters in Kampung Pandan within four years has raised concerns over their legitimacy as several house owners claim their identities are unknown to the residents there.

State Housing, Building Management and Squatter committee chairperson Iskandar Abdul Samad said that the house owners who have resided in the area, some for more than 40 years, were not even aware of the existence of the voters.

"Some of these people inherited the property from their parents and they haven't heard of the other voters registered at the same address," he said.

Iskandar cited examples of three streets in Kampung Pandan with the highest number of "doubtful" electorates where one on Lorong Kemajuan 1 listed 21 voters in 2011, a rise of 20 since 2007.

Similarly, another house on Lorong Cantik 4 had eight registered voters in 2007 but jumped to 43 in 2011, in the master electoral list - ThinkMalaysia.com
